Which cookies and similar technologies SurgiFacts.com uses, why, and how to change your choice.

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage in your browser and small requests that a page sends to a server. This policy covers all of them. The categories below are the same as in our cookie settings. On your first visit, nothing except what is listed as necessary runs until you make a choice.
These store choices you make or are needed for the website to work, so they cannot be switched off. All of them are set by SurgiFacts.com itself (first-party).

Our forms and the newsletter sign-up do not set cookies: spam protection relies on a hidden field, the time taken to complete the form and a short-lived counter on our server (see the Privacy Policy).
Only if you accept analytics, the page sends anonymous events to our own server, for example a view of a company or instrument page, a click on a company’s official website, or the display of a labelled featured placement. With the same consent, our server also counts the words entered in the site search and the number of form submissions. Everything is added to daily totals. This measurement does not set cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not build visitor profiles. Without your consent, nothing is sent or counted.
We do not use Google Analytics. If the site owner enables it in the future, it will load only after you accept analytics, and this policy will be updated first. Its cookies (names beginning with _ga) would then be listed here; if you later withdraw consent, the website deletes them.
SurgiFacts.com does not show third-party ads and does not use advertising or retargeting cookies. Featured or sponsored listings, where shown, are labelled paid placements inside the website. They are not endorsements and do not use advertising cookies; impressions and clicks on them are counted only as part of analytics, with your consent.
If a Google service that uses cookies is enabled on the website in the future, the website first tells it that consent for advertising and analytics storage is denied, and updates that signal only according to your choice in the cookie settings. No such service is enabled at present.
On your first visit you can reject non-essential cookies, accept all, or manage your preferences; rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: or use “Cookie settings” in the footer. Your choice is stored for 180 days, after which we ask again.
